Let’s dress up like Parisians and walk in Paris this afternoon with Constance! Have you visited Paris during winter? This year is extremely cold in Paris but we were lucky to have a sunny day! 🙂 Let’s start!

Being a Parisian for an Afternoon in Paris

Constance

Constance is a fashion and Parisian style influencer from Poland. She is known for her elegant and chic Parisian vibes expressed in her work (IG linked down below). A lot of her followers on Instagram really love how she dresses up to blend in with the beautiful city background and makes the pictures look just like breathtaking paintings.

Backstage Story

I first connected with Constance back in 2022 Summer for shooting a street-style project together. It became a big hit and the photos we created together were honestly amazing. If you are interested in checking it out just click Parisian Style Inspiration for your Wardrobe.

Now it’s winter time and Constance traveled back to Paris again and here we are! Honestly, I am super happy to see her again and create content for all of you too.

This time we planned to stay around Arc de Triomphe because of the views of both big & small streets and chic cafes. And in total we have two chic Parisian looks to share with everyone.

1. Parisian Chic Cafe Style

So to start, we planned to meet up at a classic cafe named “CafĂ© l’Ă©toile 1903”. Because we really loved the view of the cafe with the Arc de Triomphe on the side. And to be honest, if you pass by that area you should check it out, I love their hot chocolate!

Here, Constance selected this long-sleeve dark purple dress to wear. Personally, I would say this dress is very casual and relaxing to wear. The fabric is very soft and comfortable on the skin. And you can easily match it with boots and dark-color jackets.

Now it’s time to fill our cups with hot chocolate! 😉

2. Parisian Winter Street Style

We changed to our second look and started to walk around. Constance was wearing a silky white top with a black wool coat. And the clutch was so cute too!

The sunset was soft and golden as it was in winter and this helped me to capture dreamy back-lighting photos too. 😉

5 Beautiful French Girl looks for Summer

Emzi

Backstage Story

Honestly, I am so obsessed with French country vibes – cute gardens, timeless sash windows, floral printed wallpapers, beaches in southern France, etc. Literally, I had all kinds of related movie sceneries popping up in my brain as inspirations. And I am so grateful that I had this opportunity to shoot this meaningful project together with the team.

We were four people, two staff from Emzi, model Marine and me. I am super appreciated of the teamwork and how fast they were when it comes to putting the set together, fixing details, and keeping the whole project organized too. Big thanks to the whole team again! 🙂

As mentioned before, we have four main French country looks and one more bonus look to share with everyone this time. Each look carries a different personality of a French girl, I would say. We met up in a private-owned hotel (@Le Clos Tellier) close to Paris. And after brief greetings, we started the shooting together. Team of Emzi helped dress up the model, I set up my gears and the host of the hotel came to make sure we had what we needed. in Short, it all went smoothly!

Alright, enough chitchat. Let’s start NOW.

1. French Girl in Black Floral Dress

VoilĂ , this is our first look – a black floral dress. Personally, I think the flower is an essential element in french country style and that is one of the reasons this look was created and put together.

We wanted to do our first look in the room, so we walked around a bit and searched for perfect angles. Firstly, we tried to position the model in the middle of the room facing the big French windows – hoping to have better and softer lighting. But the pictures turned out empty-looking, as there was too much space filled in each picture.

At the same time, our team was brainstorming about the possible things people can do in the room. So we tried to come up with a little story that the model could follow and create the scene. Suddenly, someone fromthe Emzi team found this cute chessboard on one of the tables. And it worked so well with the concept we wanted to create!

Honestly, it was a completely different experience to take pictures ina  location like this one, I felt more relaxed and close to nature. In the meantime, I managed to take some portraits for the model, which I loved so much! I love the color contrast and the soft lighting on the beautiful skin. Plus, there are some floral elements here and there too – LOVE! 💖

2. French Girl in Breton Stripes

Oh la la, how can we possibly miss the iconic Breton Stripes look? And here we go, summery, relaxed, and happy vibes that might even remind you of one of your summer vacations. 😉

To start with, we wanted to use the back garden of the hotel for this look. We took some photos there on the sofa and Emzi loved them. For me, I was more excited about the street style looks – my passion :). Alright, we walked around a little bit in the lanes around the hotel. No surprise, there was barely anybody on the street during summer vacation in France, which was perfect for our shooting actually.

3. French Girl in Floral Garden

I am super excited to share this look with you because it is my favorite of all! As for the reasons, I really love the typical French garden with flowers, comfortable chairs with cushions, and sunny vibes. 🙂

Honestly, this look and scene definitely reminded me of French movies shot in the French countryside. I really looked forward to having my hands on this project especially for creating similar vibes.

So after we changed to the third look we thought it could be nice to switch to the garden. We pretty much respected the set as how it was. Because it was beautiful and natural to eyes already. LOVE!

Marine sat down and I tried to take pictures for shoes of course. And for her portraits, I framed some red flowers in the corner to make the pictures more interesting. Apart from that, we also did some other pictures in front of the main door.

4. French Girl with Ice-cream

How could we forget about delicious ice cream in France? And yes, it was part of our story too. 😉 

As it was our last look, we wanted to take some pictures in the town center. We arrived in front of an ice cream shop. Basically, I managed to grab an empty table and a chair for the model, Emzi team went inside to get ice cream for the model.

Although there were many people around us, we actually wanted to capture some street style with people in the background – creating more busy vibes in summer. The ice cream melted fast, I had to capture as many pictures as possible in a short time. Personally, I love the happy and sweet summer vibes! And you?

In the end, I would like to share with you this bonus look we also did during the shooting. It was not the main look we wanted to create, but I still think it would be a nice idea to share with all of you. As it was part of the story too.

Parisian Style Inspiration for your Wardrobe

Constance

Backstage Story

Actually, before connecting with Constance, I have seen her posts shared by popular Instagram Parisian style theme pages. And honestly, she is definitely one of the high-quality influencers who really puts in a lot of thoughts and work to create her content. 

I did not expect it, but I received a message on Instagram from Constance for a photoshoot project this summer (2022). We communicated some details and pinned down a date for shooting. I had done so many street-style shootings but this shooting really got me so excited! The planning part was fast and easy. Constance already had her ideas of looks in mind, and I just had to pick locations that matches the vibe and the clothing. And no joke, you can literally take pictures anywhere in Paris and they will look great! 

We met up in front of Le Recrutement CafĂ© – one of the most popular places to take pictures in Paris. It is highly recommended to check it out if you are planning your trip to Paris. We did not have much time as I had so many shootings one after another that day, so we had to skip coffee and warm up chat and get straight into photo-shooting business :). As planned, there are two locations for the two looks.

Alright, enough chitchat. Let’s start NOW.

1. Parisian Style in White Silky Dress

The silky dress has become a must-have iconic piece for Parisian style or French style, no matter in which color. The design changes a bit from time to time, but the basic idea for the look does not change much.

As the shooting got started, I briefly asked about the brands of the pieces and creative ideas from Constance. We went to the corner of the street – the most instagramable spot and started shooting pictures!

We both love candid and in-between photos. So it was so easy for us to come to an agreement when I directed Constance for posing. Here is a tip for people who feel awkward when taking pictures – give some small movements and the pictures will turn out much better in most cases than posing still.

Constance is really talented and experienced when expressing the Parisian vibe in front of the camera. The beauty of street-style photography is that you get the chance to interact with things around you and blend in with the background – which I think Constance nailed it easily. 2. Parisian Style in Chic Black Dress

The shooting for the first look went super smoothly, and we quickly changed to the second look and got ready for the next look – a chic black dress. I personally love this black dress because the design on both sides frames the body shape very well. It makes the body looks slim and well-proportioned.

Just a little walk next to the Seine and a bit of backlighting already gave me enough time to get the shooting done quickly. The key is to express the effortless and chic Parisian vibe that everyone can get. This look can definitely work for the day or for parties at night too. I will for sure share this post with my friends who I mentioned earlier in the article.

Dark & Chic aesthetic is becoming really trendy. Recently I have done two shooting with Ani Margarian (IG linked down below) with mainly dark colours. You will probably notice the YouTube vlog is combined with two days’ shooting. I hope you like them!

Paris Cafe Street Style with Ani Margarian

Ani Margarian

Ani is a Parisian influencer. She is known for her chic, elegant, and mature style (IG linked down below). A lot of her followers on Instagram really love how she styles to emphasize her slim waistline and balance her body proportion to look tall and elegant.

Backstage Story

Actually, I first met Ani at the beginning of 2021 for some street-style shootings, and then we met again this time in November 2021. As we haven’t seen each other for so long, I really looked forward to reconnecting with Ani and sharing some updates too.

We had two hot chocolate at the cafe and chatted a bit. Despite the current difficult situation with Covid, Ani’s Instagram account had grown A LOT. Other than that, Ani also started offering services specialised as a digital consultant. (For instance, an individual or a brand who needs guidance to grow audiences or followers on Instagram, content management, Facebook Ads and social media brand positioning and etc.)

I am super happy for Ani and the growth of her business. And truly nothing makes me happier to see other people grow with me being part of their journey. 🙂

Alright, enough chitchat. Let’s start NOW.

1. Black Chic Paris Cafe Style

So we cleaned up the table a bit and got ready for our photoshoot of the day (the most exciting part!). Surprisingly, the staff from the cafe were super kind and nice and even set up a bit for our shooting as well. I think we are coming back someday for sure. 

Ani was dressed in a black sweater, black leather skirt, and a pair of black ballet shoes from Repetto Paris. Let’s call it look Black Chic, what do you think? Moreover, she is wearing a red clutch from Sequoiaparis and a watch from Ocarat. After sitting at the cafe for a bit, we decided to walk around and enjoy the lovely weather. Obviously, we didn’t want to lose the best chance to snap some cute sunset pictures.

2. Parisian Door Street Style

The shooting of this look took place a couple of weeks after the first look you just read. However, I thought it could be great to combine them together into one post. Therefore, here we are. 

Let’s say the second look is a bonus, as the look is not next to a cafe but a beautiful Parisian door :). I hope you like it too. And speaking of the Parisian door, you might like Parisian Haussmann apartment portraits 3 French Style Indoor Luxe Looks That You Have Been Seeking.

Inspired by many other influencers’ beautiful pictures next to the typical Parisian doors, we decided to walk around and spot a lovely door as backdrop. We were walking in some small lanes close to Palais Royal and found this cute door. What do you think? Ani said that it looked perfect, awesome! Let’s start, shall we?

Inspiring Paris Girls Aesthetics

Hannah Teitink

Hannah is a Parisian influencer originally from Germany and Netherlands. She is into sustainable fashion and beauty. Apparently, she is becoming very popular amongst Parisian influencers and growing very fast during this year. Besides, she also has a RED (Top Chinese Social Media) account, and Chinese audiences LOVE her so much! I will link both of her Instagram and RED accounts down below if you want to check them out.

Hannah stands out from the crowd with a casual, authentic, and sweet Parisian street style. And on top of that, she has a sweet and upbeat character. I met Hannah through Instagram and we hit it off very well during our first shooting. So yes, I have more shootings with Hannah coming up which means more inspiration from her to share with y’all! I cannot wait to start showing you our shooting journey and here we go!

Paris Girls: Simple Black & White Daily Wear

Sweet and cute Parisian is here! If you are just looking for something casual, cute, and simple. This is it. When it gets really cold you can put another warm coat on top. Sometimes, if you are indoor and need to take off your coat, this look still makes you look so stylish and keeps you warm 😉

By the way, it’s getting really cold and maybe next time we will be doing another shooting in a lovely hotel room. I am wondering which hotel you would like to see? I would love to recommend 5 Inspiring Paris Hotel Portrait Ideas if you want to check them out too.

The white knitted sweater is very soft to touch, fluffy, and warm. Besides, feel free to put tons of things in the cute knitted bag. However, it might be a bit tricky to put small things, you might need to put your small items in an additional bag then throw the bag in. Anyways, you can definitely wear this bag for school, shopping, and meeting up with friends. Personally, it’s pretty practical!

Paris Girls: Festival Vibes

If you want something red and festival but not too over the top, this red velvet blazer is one way to go. Because it’s burgundy, so it won’t be too bright if you don’t like bright red. For instance, personally, I prefer darker red because I do not want to be the center of focus while walking on the street 😉

SS22 Paris Fashion Week came back with a larger scale across the whole fashion industry. Breaking the tradition of hosting shows in Paris city center, Givenchy held this year’s show at modern district La Defense.

As one of the photographers on site, I was very lucky to have shot beautiful photos for Bruna Marqueizine, Fatima Almomen, Kid Cudi, and more.

Personally, I love night pictures with flash. It creates strong contrast and a luxury aesthetic, and the pictures are just breathtaking.

This time I am sharing 3 different French Style looks picked by Imane (IG linked below) and the photos with her in a Parisian apartment. EXCITING!

3 French Style Indoor Luxe Looks

French Style 1: Chic & Sweet

We got started with this pink dress look. Alright, so this dress has a vibrant magenta pink color with a slightly shiny texture. I would say this dress is for more specific occasions like celebrations or high-end parties. Indeed, it looked amazing on Imane!

After adjusting the dress for a bit, I spotted the Haussmann door in front of us. I thought it could make her pop. Let me show you the results down below.

Shortly after, we also tried some photos on the dark blue sofa in the middle of the chamber. By the way, this apartment is huge and I was so lucky to be there and be able to find angles and corners freely to shoot pictures for Image. Yay!

To describe it in one sentence: “Every corner in this apartment can be a stunning scene!”

French Style 2: Sleek & Iconic

This Saint Laurent look is my favorite. It comes with the iconic jaguar pattern party dress with a golden vintage bag, and both of them are from Saint Laurent. We wanted to make the look really pop and we found this red velvet chair in the chamber and wanted to give it a try. The result turned out amazing!

Later we tried some different angles at the piano corner as well. The whole look is just so iconic and timeless. It will never go wrong to dress up like this Parisian style for a cocktail or dinner party.

Personally, I love YSL. I love the silhouette of its clothing especially the pointy shoulder of the blazer and the chic vibes it demonstrates.

French Style 3: Minimalism & Mature

Alright, for y’all who love minimalism, we’ve got you covered too! This minimalism look is pretty simple yet mature – but not too much. This jumpsuit is wonderful for both daily wear and party. It’s quite practical and can go with simple colors in general. Besides, you can also match this jumpsuit with a tiny necklace and a black small handbag too.

Honestly, I am super excited to tell you that this time it is going to be very different. Instead of conventional Paris aesthetics that simply talk about Paris styles or fashion tips, we are going to combine Paris Aesthetic with music! It’s magical to have Paris as our backdrop since Europe is known as the hometown for classical music. I used to dream of attending symphony in Europe when I was studying classical music back in high school.
In this post you are going to discover the story behind the shooting, the photos I took for Marie-Alix, and even watch Marie-Alix play a short part of a song too! How exciting! Woo-Hoo!

Paris Aesthetic with Parisian Violinist Marie-Alix

Marie-Alix

Marie-Alix is a violinist & influencer based in Paris. (IG linked down below) She has performed countless times publically and privately in Paris. Besides, she was invited to private performances by Bulgari during PFW. She teaches violin too. In short, she is amazing, kind, outgoing, and easy to connect with.

The beginning of this shooting could even date back to 2021 summer when I just got to know Marie-Alix. She is a wonderful person with amazing characters and upbeat energy.

We wanted to organize a shooting together and Marie-Alix was planning to wear her elegant performance gown for the shoot.

However, the shooting didn’t happen until the end of September because we decided to make the most out of this summer – as most of us had not had summer vacation for ages.. So, it was understandable.

We both decided to go to Palais Royal where would best fit the vibes of the shooting – elegant, neat, and bright. (If you want to check shootings happened in other Parisian places just hit Paris Photography at 3 Best Photo Spots that Photographers Go)

In the end, Marie-Alix took a casual Parisian look for the clothing instead of a super glamorous gown (we might shoot that next time, really look forward to it! :D) We might try something indoor as the weather gets so cold in Paris. I personally love classical music. Honestly, this shooting was quite special for me because I learned a bit of violin back in high school. Classical music still resonates with me deeply to some extent even after all these years. Therefore, the shooting wasn’t only about Marie-Alix but also my childhood memory too.

Paris Aesthetic 1: Playing violin at Palais Royal

Alright, let’s slowly get in the mood. As the shooting started, she was posing a bit but I found it quite unnatural. So I wanted Marie-Alix to play a short part of any song. So I would be able to capture some beautiful movements. I love these stone walls and beige color stone columns too.

Paris Aesthetic 2: Chilling next to the Parisian fountain

Finishing off at the center of the Palais, we were chatting and wandering around other parts of Palais Royal. And guess what? We spotted this cute fountain. Despite that there were so many people around, we still decided to sit down and find a corner for some photos! Yay! Let’s do it!

You can see the Palais in the background and the beautiful fountain as background. So Parisian isn’t it? Love this Paris Aesthetic!

This look is so easy to put on, and I am sure you will be able to step out of the house easily in a very short time. We really love the hat that brings the look together with a French taste. Plus, grabbing the Dior bag also adds that chic feeling. The orange shirt is like a statement of the whole look and just makes it pop! 2. Sweet & Urban – Paris Fashion Week Street Style

I love this look personally! I know it seems like an unwritten norm that most Parisian wear black and simple colors. However, I really love how this look expresses that bit of happiness with its colors. And the tiny cutch is just adorable! Well, I have to admit that you cannot put your phone in it, but you can put some changes and your keys in. The whole look pops with the little pink clutch for sure! Besides, you can also finish dressing up easily with this look and it won’t take that much effort either. Oh, and don’t forget your sunglasses! I would wear this look to hang out with friends in the park or have some drinks.

Yes, Bikini is not only for the beach now! The trend of matching Bikini and Blazer is becoming a real THING. Honestly, I personally love this look because of its simplicity and the boldness of self-expression. The good thing about this look is that it frames your body shape in a unique way, and it doesn’t take that much effort to style it with other clothing pieces.

You can match a darker Bikini with a brighter blazer or the other way around. I know maybe for some people it takes some time to be convinced to actually put on that look. But give it a try and put them on in front of your mirror. It might blow your mind! Other than that, you can also match a smaller-sized handbag too.

The concept of this look is to show people that bikinis can be part of daily casual wear too, it is not limited to beachwear only. At the same time, it sort of promotes the idea of sustainability too by encouraging people to wear it more. In this way, it actually increases the value of your Bikinis.

4. The Pearl Girl – Paris Fashion Week Street Style

Pearl is a timeless element in fashion for sure. And big pearls clutches and handbags are very popular among Parisians too recently. You can style so many looks with this vegan leather dress and it is very soft to touch. This little pearl handbag matches Parisian Cafe so much! We try to keep this look as simple as possible and Olga added a white baker hat that brings the look to a whole another level! By the way, remember to wear your fav boots too. We wanted to create this look at a typical Parisian Cafe and we found one with a red rooftop which worked out perfectly for the look. Everything just pops!

1. Café de Flore

CafĂ© de Flore is one of the most famous cafes in Paris. It has be been featured in magazines, films, and TV shows ( the most recent – Emily in Paris) many times.

It was opened in the 1880s and is one of the oldest coffeehouses in Paris. It was very popular among many high-profile writers and philosophers back then. And it is one of the MUST-GO cafes in Paris now.

2. La Maison Rose

In 1980, La Maison Rose was opened by Germaine Pichot. This unique Montmartre restaurant has welcomed generations of artists (Picasso, Modigliani, later Piaf, Barbara, Aznavour, Nougaro, Brel, Camus and etc.) This emblematic landmark was re-opened in 2017 ran by a new team, under the management of the granddaughter of Beatrice, who bought La Maison Rose in 1948.

In seasons when covered by green plants, the restaurant blooms like a lovely pinky rose. Sometimes you can also find some cute decorative flowers around the building. You definitely have a gorgeous view of Montmartre for your pictures too.

3. Le Vrai Paris

Located in the historic center of Montmartre, this charming little cafĂ© never has downtime. Lovely flowers and lavender vines on the façade make this cafĂ© unique and special for its visitors.

Many Parisian street-style photoshoots also take place at the terrace. If you want dreamy Instagram photos – pin it on your itinerary. It is also a wonderful idea to start your day there with a cup of coffee and croissant.

4. La Flamme

Alright, another floral cafe is situated right next to Arc de Triomphe. If you happen to be around, it is worth it to pay a short visit to this lovely cafe to snap some cute photos. If you plan to eat there outdoor, there is sufficient terrace space for individuals or groups too.

What I love about this cafe is the combination of different flowers on its façade. It makes me really happy to enjoy the cute views while eating.

5. Au Vieux Paris d’Arcole

This charming floral restaurant (cafe) is located on a little quiet lane in the 4th arrondissement close to Notre Dame. It was recommended by one of my friends who works as a tour guide in Paris. I was so excited to come to visit it because I heard it has a very long history.

The restaurant is in a canon’s house built back in 1512, making it one of the oldest buildings in Paris. On the second floor upstairs you can enjoy Notre Dame from a unique angle.

6. Maison Sauvage

Here we are, a hidden treasure in the historical center of Saint-German des Prés. La Maison Sauvage is a timeless restaurant with two floors, a terrace and a facade covered with ivy make it a place of unique charm.

La Maison Sauvage aligns itself with the essence of its environment and advocates a cuisine that is open to the world and uninhibited.

It has unique appearances in different seasons of the year, and countless travelers, models, and photographers came here to capture their unique moments too.

7. Café Cassette

I noticed this floral cafe close to Montparnasse every time I go shopping on Rue de Rennes in the 6th arrondissement. What is interesting is that almost all the flowers used to decorate the cafe are yellow. So you can see it very far away with its bright color. 

If you happen to be in that area shopping, you can totally drop by to rest and take some cute photos too.

8. Le Deux Magots (Bonus)

Bonus Time! As promised, you have made it till the end and let me introduce you to the last cafe – Le Deux Magots.

The interesting thing about this cafe is that it is on the street next to Café de Flore, and many locals refer it to be the rival of Café de Flore for many years.

Personally, I love both cafés. And for Le Deux Magots, you even have an outdoor terrace that is separated from the main building and surrounded by a green plant fence. It is definitely a wonderful place to have lunch and dinner with your friends and family in the center of Saint-German des Prés outdoor with sufficient privacy.
