ALL ABOUT PARIS HOTEL PORTRAIT IDEAS
1. Sitting on the Armchair Look – White Shirt & Jeans
There are two amazing red velvet armchairs and this one does not have arms with tassels. But don’t worry we will get to the other armchair later in the post. So with this look, we put a lamp behind to create a warm feeling. It is always good to have some sparkles or warm lights behind the person to create a more interesting photo.
So here we go, I asked Annemarie to move her hair around and think that she was in her own world/mood. The motion that was captured while she wasn’t paying attention to me turned out to be the best.
2. Iconic Phoning Look – Long Sweater & Le Beret Hat
So the second look we created was an iconic Parisian room phoning look. I know it could be super difficult to find a vintage phone in a short time and it might be used for only one time. But don’t you worry, the modern phone in the hotel room doesn’t seem to look that bad either. If you can control the angle of showing the phone, I think it would totally work out! I really love the story we could tell with this look, that she seems to be one of the old movies set in Paris. Just iconic!
3. Classic Chic – Black Dress
I personally love this look, because it is super elegant and chic. There is nothing too complicated and it is easy to wear this look to any occasion as well. I am inspired a lot by black dresses that one of your slim legs can be shown. And here we are! I love to create this glam, simple and chic aesthetic. I know it is again quite classic, but why not?
4. Mature Look – Purple Stripes Suits
As I mentioned before, there is another armchair with tassels and this is it! it kind of making me think about a captain’s suit but – really, it is so beautiful! In order to create some interesting angles, I asked Annemarie to stand on a chair so we could make full use of the gorgeous wall behind us. The room was not very big, and the bed was in the middle so I had to make sure my flash could light her face well. (Be prepared that many hotels rooms in Paris are quite small in size, but you can still make the most of it and find different angles for sure!)
5. Casual Black Dress Look – Simple Black Dress
Okay, I get it, not everyone is in the mood to wear super glamourous all the time. And voila! Here we have a simple look for you. A long black dress with a belt can also do. This one is just something really casual and effortless.
